Supporting children with special needs 2021!

From the Special Christmas Childrens Party Foundation to True Steel Frames:

Well, 2021 has been and gone and what an interesting year it was to say the least!

We want to take this opportunity to offer a HUGE thank you for sticking with us last year! It was a trying and testing year for us all, so thank you for your support. More importantly, thank you from all the special needs children and their families. Despite everything else going on in the world, the reasons these children are chosen each year remains the same, so thank you for helping create a memorable experience for these children and their families.

Your support helped create something for these children to look forward to in an otherwise uncertain year so thank you again! Please take a couple of minutes break and have a look at the amazing video footage below, to see how your support contributed towards bringing “Big Smiles to Little Faces” this year.

All this simply would not have been possible without the generous support of the business community and all the helpers and volunteer groups who assisted us in the delivery of these toys.

On behalf of all the special needs children and their families and all the team at the Special Children’s Christmas Party we want to say a very big THANK YOU and here is to a safe, happy and prosperous 2022!

Kind regards,

Donna, Brianna, Genece, Wendy and Paul

Supporting children with special needs 2020!

ChristmasTrueSteel-1.jpg

This year we had the absolute privilege of supporting the Special Children’s Christmas Party for 2020.

The Special Children’s Christmas Parties are the biggest events of their kind in Australia for special needs children and their families. The children invited, are children who suffer from one of the following: serious illnesses, physical or intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or living in underprivileged circumstances.

If you would like to get involved for next year’s Special Children’s Christmas Party, submit your details via their form and support these special children and their families and give them a Christmas they deserve.

True Steel Frames sponsor V8 Supercar driver - Todd Hazelwood

ToodHazelwoodV8SuperCars

Todd Hazelwood’s Commodore will take its latest new look into a doubleheader with South Australian company TRG Transport securing naming rights for both upcoming events at The Bend.

Coming off a career-first ARMOR ALL Pole in Townsville, Hazelwood is raring to hit the track in his home state as the Repco SuperSprint gets underway tomorrow.

“We left Townsville on a high with two pole positions for BJR cars (Hazelwood and Nick Percat) but not being able to turn these into podiums has left me very determined and hungry for more as I feel like we are so close to a top three finish,” he said.

“We’re getting stronger and stronger each weekend as a team and we’re in a good place to hopefully secure more great results.

“I’m excited to be back in my home state of SA and welcome some local SA businesses onboard the #14 backing me for the doubleheader.

“Thanks to the team at TRG Transport for getting behind me and BJR.”

A leading Australian transport company, TRG managing director Tony Musolino is pumped to see how the new-look #14 goes.

“TRG prides itself on giving back to the community by contributing to local sporting teams and events,” Musolino said.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our business on BJR’s Supercar.

“We understand it’s been a tough year for all the teams so it’s a pleasure to assist with these local races at The Bend and SA’s own, Todd Hazelwood.

“We are honoured and proud to be a part of the BJR team and the 2020 Supercars Championship.”

Hazelwood’s Holden also welcomes Action Line Marking, True Steel Frames and Rob Sinclair Equipment Finance aboard for this weekend’s action at Tailem Bend.

Early engagement in the Salisbury Childcare Centre project yields positive results.

The Salisbury Childcare Centre Project has been constructed using True Steel Frames framing made from TRUECORE® steel, and is externally clad with COLORBOND® steel Matt in the colour Monument® and brickwork.

Summary:
Independently owned and operated True Steel Frames is located just outside Adelaide in SA. They opened their doors in 2015 and have already seen fast growth due to their talented team and many years’ experience in the construction industry.

In a practice that is becoming more common, True Steel Frames was first engaged for the Salisbury Childcare Centre by the lead architect, Flightpath Architects, during the design phase of the project. During this phase they worked closely with the Flightpath team to ensure that the wide spans being proposed could be achieved on a tight program and budget. During the tender to builders, True Steel Frames was nominated as the preferred channel to ensure ‘compatibility of design’ and won the contract for the fabrication of the framing and installation onsite.

The Salisbury Childcare Centre Project has been constructed using True Steel Frames framing made from TRUECORE® steel, and is externally clad with COLORBOND® steel Matt in the colour Monument® and brickwork. The builder who won the tender is Adelaide-based Partek Construction and Interiors and this was their first experience using framing made from TRUECORE® steel.

Sources:

  • Roccy Siciliano, Director/Construction Manager, True Steel Frames (RS)

  • Lawrence Labrosciano, Project Manager, Partek Construction and Interiors (LL)

Key Benefits Delivered:

  • The installation of the wall framing and roof trusses (totalling 6,888.39 lineal metres) made from TRUECORE® steel was completed in seven days. (RS/LL)

    • When compared to completing the same build using stick-built timber framing, it’s estimated that the framing would have taken at least twice the amount of time to finish the installation. (LL)

  • All trades on the project, including Partek’s site manager, were really pleased with the likeness of the building to the drawings, and the quality and stability of the structure. (LL)

Outcomes:
The Salisbury Childcare Centre was completed four weeks ahead of schedule. Says Lawrence Labrosciano, Project Manager on the build at Partek Construction and Interiors, “The light weight steel frames attributed to this early handover as well as other factors.” He continued, “I was very happy with True Steel’s efforts throughout the project. They were efficient and very diligent all the way from the design phase to installation. They hit all of their target dates and the quality of their work was standout.”

True Steel Frames continues to experience strong growth and recently bought their second ENDUROFRAME® machine in order to keep up with demand. Says Roccy Siciliano, Director/Construction Manager, “We’ve grown heaps – we have more employees working for us, we now have two machines and we are still growing”.
